This year, Van Cleef & Arpels has enriched its Frivole collection with eight new creations, including a bracelet and two secret watches.
Floral motifs have been at the heart of Van Cleef & Arpels’ creative tradition for over a century now. Right from daisies and cherry blossoms to lily-of-the-valley and poppies, the maison’s poetic garden is full of bejewelled blooms in various collections.
This year, Van Cleef & Arpels has enriched its Frivole collection with eight new creations, including a bracelet and two secret watches.
One of the highlights of this line is the Between the Finger ring, a whimsical design synonymous with the maison. Crafted out of white gold and complemented with a sprinkle of diamonds, this versatile ring is reflective of the maison’s dynamic sensibilities.
Then there is the seven-flower bracelet in yellow gold. Adorned with corollas in different sizes, it is a tribute to the vitality of nature.
This is also the first time the maison has used rose gold and pink sapphires to adorn Frivole creations. At the centre of a pair of earrings and a pendant in warm hues, a pink sapphire is lit up by diamond-set petals. The heart-shaped petals are mirror polished for an accentuated brilliance.

Van Cleef & Arpels has long drawn on nature as an eternal source of inspiration, translating all the delicacy and vitality of flora into jewels.
Long before Frivole, back in 1970, the brand launched the Rose de Noël collection, named after the hellebore, a flower that blooms only in winter. Originally created in pink coral, yellow gold and diamonds, the collection reflected the spirit of the time with its bright colours and a broad palette of materials.
Over the years, the maison has added some gorgeous pendants, earrings and clips to the Rose de Noël line. Combining gold and various precious stones like onyx, carnelian and lapis lazuli, this collection leans on the maison’s unmatched expertise in stone selection and flawless craftsmanship. At the heart of each creation in the line, six round diamonds rest on pistils of golden thread, while on the back an openwork gold plate moulds itself to the contours of the petals – highlighting the brand’s obsession with details.

The gold work in this collection is highly intricate. Each element is shaped and polished by hand. At the tips of the pistils, the diamonds are put in place and carefully adjusted by the stone-setter. The petals and mounting are then assembled before a final polish, which lends a crowning radiance to the piece.
A symbol of wisdom and prosperity, the lotus flower is another popular motif at the maison. Playing on the themes of nature, refinement and multi-functionality, Van Cleef & Arpels’ Lotus line includes a Between the Finger ring, a large pendant with an opening hoop and a pair of ear-clips. Available in both yellow gold and white gold except for the clip that has been exclusively launched in white gold, the collection is exquisitely handcrafted by skilled artisans. While the central stone in the lotus flower is held by a claw bezel, the five circular stones around it display an embedded mounting. The leaves of the flowers are adorned with diamonds in a grain setting.
The Lotus ring set in white gold and diamonds is one of the brand’s most emblematic pieces. This exceptional Between the Finger ring has a unique mechanism, which enables the shank of the ring to swivel so that it can be worn in different ways on different occasions.
